Heart Evangelista shares interesting back story of her new songs that were produced back in 2005

So, what made Heart finally decide to put out unreleased songs from an album she produced all the way back in 2005?

The Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations said this pleasant surprise all began when she was going over her things during the quarantine period.

“It started with this pandemic, actually. I was going through my boxes of memories--and there's a whole lot of boxes of different things in my life--and I came across my album, which was produced back in 2005.

“And I had favorite songs that I never really released, and nobody really heard.

"I'd show snippets on my social media, pero I really was looking forward to that album.

"I think I was 21 when I did that and that was such a good time in my life.

“And I thought that, you know, I want to release it. I wanna share it.

"Wala lang. Because everybody's at home and music is also such a big relaxation. It's good to listen to music. I just wanted to add a song to their playlist.”

Heart also shared the interesting back story of the unreleased songs and album that she produced back in 2005.

“Well, 2005. You can just put it there. (laughs) I don't really have inspiration about it now, but of course, during that time it was a different life.

"It was like three lifetimes ago. So, I don't exactly remember how it felt, but I can still kinda visualize the life that I had.

“That was my time when I was coming of age. I turned 21. I left my management team. I was independent financially from my family. I tried to handle my own money. I fell in love. I made myself my own album, thinking I can do it on my own.

“But again, I'm glad that I did that because there's always a reason for everything. That was a really memorable time for me.”

Heart also emphasized that although the songs were produced many years ago, they surprisingly sound current.

“I'm so happy that I'm going to be able to release a song because it doesn't sound like 2005. It sounds now. It's not dated.

"It's very chill, very breezy, something that you can keep on while you paint or relax when you're having wine. Ganyan.”

She also said that she's not trying to compete with anyone with the release of her songs.

“I'm not a threat to anyone. Honestly, I've been working for so long. I've gone through the ups and downs of my career.

"I feel like I'm just there. This is just me. I'm not here to compete.

“I don't even think it's gonna be number one.

"I just like to put things out there to cater to people that want it, to cater to people that want to be happy, or to cater to people that are curious.

“It may not be for everyone, but I'm actually okay because I was never an everyone type of girl. I don't know.

“My type of flavor is just probably for certain people. (laughs) But if by chance that you like it, then that's beautiful.

“I don't wanna market myself that I'm a singer-singer, you know. I just wanna keep sharing little sparkles of my happiness from time to time.”

Heart divulged that there are originally five songs in the unreleased album, but she's not quite sure yet how many she will release and whether they will be available in audio streaming platforms.

She also didn't give a specific release date for the songs or album, so for sure Heart's fans will be on their toes until she finally releases them.
