Khalil Ramos, open to work on a BL series with Thai actor Tay Tawan

Khalil Ramos had the chance to work with Thai actor Tay Tawan last 2019 in the Japanese reality game show titled Find The Wasabi in Nagoya. Thanks to their time on the show, Khalil grew close to Tay and the two were able to forge a friendship that lasts even up to this day.

In an exclusive interview with GMA Network, we asked Khalil about his friendship with the esteemed Thai BL actor.

According to Khalil, "Tay is actually a very good friend, we've been keeping in touch after Finding The Wasabi, a show we did in Japan.

"Naging close kami despite the language barrier pero actually he speaks quite good English and medyo nagkakaintindihan naman kami.

"We have a lot in common, he loves photography as well. He loves coffee, too."

If given the chance, Khalil said that he's open to work with Tay on a Thai-Filipino co-produced BL series.

"That's gonna be huge! I'd love to work with him. I know that he's kind of a 'Prince of BL' sa Thailand and if ever magkaroon chance, that would be huge.

"A Thailand-Philippines collaboration na BL story? Definitely, I'm up for it," he said.

Khalil has previously played a queer character in the 2016 Petersen Vargas LGBTQIA+ coming-of-age film 2 Cool 2 Be Forgotten which he considers to be one of his best work to date.
