Sanya Lopez teases about MMFF movie 'Isa Pang Bahaghari'

By Cherry Sun

Sanya Lopez is sure to end the year 2020 with a bang as she stars in Isa Pang Bahaghari, a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, alongside a stellar cast top-billed by no less than the Superstar Nora Aunor.

The year is undeniably an auspicious year for Sanya's career, with the homegrown Kapuso talent beginning the new decade as a calendar girl.

The actress definitely owned the year despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

She was finally able to buy her dream house and she even earned her first ever title role when she was named top choice for the upcoming Kapuso rom-com series, First Yaya.

Blessings continue to pour in for Sanya, and in November it was confirmed that her latest movie made it to MMFF's official entries.

Sanya is part of Isa Pang Bahaghari, a film bannered by Nora and under the helm of Joel Lamangan. In this family drama, the actress portrays the character of Dolly. She gives life to Nora's youngest child who was forced into prostitution due to poverty.

She invited her followers on Instagram to patronize local movies, saying, "Let's enjoy watching films this yuletide season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!"

Her fellow co-stars include Phillip Salvador, Michael De Mesa, Zanjoe Marrudo, Joseph Marco, Albie Casino, and Maris Racal.

Under the new normal, however, the MMFF celebration will take place online and the entries will be available for viewing via www.upstream.ph from December 25, 2020 to January 7, 2021.

Meanwhile, Sanya is currently working in a locked-in production for First Yaya that is set to premiere on primetime TV in the first quarter of 2021.
