Rachelle Ann Go's first onstage performance in London after announcing pregnancy

By Bianca Geli

West end singer Rachelle Ann Go made her first onstage public performance early this week since announcing her pregnancy last month. Her performance was just in time to welcome Christmas.

Rachelle was selected as one of the performers of an event held at Westminster Chapel in London. The chapel's website describes its church as a "London church community for all ages and backgrounds." The Westminster Chapel is holding nights of timeless Christmas carols with messages sharing peace and joy in the time of pandemic.

In a video called "O Come, O Ye Faithful" posted on Rachelle Ann Go's official Facebook page on December 13, the singer gave a moving rendition of the Christmas classic. The performance was during the special Christmas carols program for the online church service of Westminster Chapel.

Rachelle performed several Christmas songs, including “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” “The First Noel,” “Once in Royal David's City,” and “O Little Town of Bethlehem.” The service was streamed live on December 13.

This was the first time for Rachelle to perform since announcing her pregnancy in November. Her baby bump was noticeable in her marsala dress and tweed winter coat.

Rachelle posted a clip from her performance on Instagram, and shared how she was "super excited" for her solo performance.

Rachelle is currently based in London with her husband Martin Spies. They met in 2017 through common friends during a church event in New York.

After months of dating and a long distance relationship, the couple tied the knot in April 2018, in a beach wedding at the Shangri-La resort in Boracay, where Martin also proposed. They moved into their new London home almost a year ago and are now expecting their first child.
