Ricky is one of the well-known and respected entertainment journalists in Philippine showbiz.

He is best remembered for his decades-long "Funfare" column in the Philippine Star and his weekly offering, "Conversations with Ricky Lo."

But aside from his stellar career as a columnist, Ricky also became part of unforgettable Kapuso showbiz talk shows.

One of them is the iconic showbiz talk show Startalk, which Ricky was part of from 2008 to 2015.

Startalk is the longest-running entertainment news and talk show on Philippine TV and Ricky was among its final batch of hosts.

He gave showbiz exclusives one after the other and discussed the most-talked-about news in showbiz alongside co-hosts Lolit Solis, Joey de Leon, Butch Francisco, and Heart Evangelista.

Ricky, later on, hosted his own TV shows such as The Ricky Lo Exclusives and Showbiz Stripped, which both aired on QTV (now GTV).

Some of the most unforgettable showbiz news that Ricky was first to break were the break-ups of showbiz couples Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez and Karylle and Dingdong Dantes.

Ricky's contribution to the entertainment industry is truly invaluable and his passing has left a gaping hole in the lives of his family, colleagues, and followers.

Showbiz will never be the same without Ricky Lo and whoever comes after him will surely have big shoes to fill.

Thank you for making showbiz more colorful and fun, Ricky. You will be sorely missed and will remain forever in our hearts.

Farewell, Kapuso Ricky Lo.
