Rabiya Mateo makes acting debut in 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho's' 'Gabi ng Lagim IX'

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo has made her acting debut in the much-awaited "Gabi ng Lagim IX," the yearly Halloween special of top-rating magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS).

Rabiya appeared in the segment called "NgisNgis" which was helmed by award-winning director Adolf Alix Jr.

She played the role of a beautiful young woman who catches the attention of a supernatural being called a "NgisNgis" or a one-eyed giant which makes a bungisngis or giggling sound whenever it is nearby.

Rabiya's co-actors were also very honored to be part of the beauty queen's acting debut.

Tanjo Aquino Villoso who played the imposing NgisNgis posted a photo of him and Rabiya on his Instagram account.

"Thank you so much po at naging bahagi po ako ng programang eto, #KMJS. Salamat din po direk @aalixjr @rabiyamateo. Salamat po," his caption reads.

Kiko Ipapo, who played Rabiya's human suitor, also sent her a message via Instagram.

"Thank you #KMJSGabiNgLagimIX! Sorry I can't compete with your other suitor Ms. @rabiyamateo! The NgisNgis is quite persistent! Seriously, honored to be part of your acting debut! Thank you too Direk @aalixjr for the guidance," he wrote.

After her stint as Miss Universe Philippines 2020, Rabiya made plans to enter showbiz.

She also recently became the face of local luxury jewelry brand LVNA by Drake Dustin.
