Award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose explains why she deleted her "retirement post" on Instagram.
Cannes Best Actress Jaclyn Jose on Thursday morning announced in an Instagram post that she's retiring and thanked her fans for the support.
“I am retiring....marami po salamat,” she said.
Fans have expressed their dismay in the comments section and said that they will miss seeing the multi-awarded actress perform. Others, meanwhile, asked her to take a break instead of retiring, especially after her most recent series, Bolera, had its finale.
However, a few hours later, the said post was taken down. In a message sent to the Cabinet Files of PEP.ph, she explained why she couldn't retire just yet.
“I wanted to but I still have 2 years contract with GMA,” she said.
She also added how she thought that the contract already expired, and that's why she made the announcement. However, she also said that her road manager told her that it was not, which led to taking down the said post.
Fans will definitely appreciate this news as seen by the number of them who commented on her post and do not want the actress to leave showbiz.
Jaclyn Jose made her last appearance in Bolera, which recently had its finale episode last week, as Tessa Cerillo-Fajardo, mom of Jose Maria Fajardo Jr. also known as Bolera, played by Kylie Padilla.
