Julie Anne San Jose celebrates 'Still' win at Asia Academy Creative Awards

By Ron Lim

Another project that Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose is involved in is getting recognition internationally!

In one of her more recent posts on Instagram account, Julie Anne put up several photos from the streaming series Still, which she participated in last year. Still is the first Viu original series from the Philippines and was recently named by the Asian Academy Creative Awards as the Best Original Programme by a Streamer/OTT from the Philippines.

In the caption to the post, Julie Anne congratulated her Still family and wrote that she would be “forever grateful.”

Of course, this is not the only project Julie Anne has participated in that has received international accolades. Back in April of this year, Limitless: A Musical Trilogy's nomination for the 2022 New York Festivals TV and Film Awards was announced. At the time of the announcement, Julie Anne called the experience surreal.

“When the news was delivered to us, syempre nagulat kami but at the same time, we were just so very overwhelmed kasi hindi rin biro na makapasok o mapabilang din sa shortlist sa New York Festivals,” she shared. “Surreal lang sobra at worth it lahat ng pagod at hard work. Nakakatuwa lang po kasi family ko na rin po itong Limitless team kaya nakakataba talaga ng puso kasi worth it po talaga lahat.”

The Limitless team eventually went on to win the Silver Award for the Entertainment Special: Variety Special category, with Julie Anne posting a video of her speech where she commended the Limitless team, “along with every Filipino,” saying that they have shown the world that “we can rise above the challenges of this global pandemic.”

Julie Anne would eventually receive the trophy in August, posting about it on her Instagram account and calling it a “milestone.”
