SEVENTEEN drops new Japanese song 'DREAM'

By Jashley Ann Cruz

K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN proves that they've got more music to share with Carats all over the world as they make another official comeback with the release of their new Japanese song “DREAM” and its accompanying EP of the same name.

“DREAM” is the title track of SEVENTEEN's new EP and has subtle hints of the members' lifelong dream to become a star. The lyrics, written by WOOZI, BUMZU, and Lee Beom-hun, give off the overall vibe of dreaming and what it feels like to live what was once a fantasy.

Even the accompanying music video radiates a dreamy aura with its colorful intergalactic setting and the members' prince-like costumes. Their sweet and soft choreography makes the song all the more warm and cozy, perfect for the upcoming holidays.

Apart from “DREAM,” Japanese versions of their hit songs “Rock With You” and “All My Love” along with a holiday version of their English track “Dar+ling” are also included in the new EP.

SEVENTEEN proves they're versatile artists who can dominate every sphere they step on. Less than 24 hours after their release in Japan, “DREAM” and “Rock With You (Japanese Version)” were marked as “HIT” on Line Music Japan.

This 2022, SEVENTEEN released a myriad of tracks and has cemented their name in the music industry. Last April, they released their first-ever full English song “Dar+ling”; in May they released their fourth full album Face The Sun with songs “HOT,” “Don Quixote,” “March,” and many more; in July the leader line comprising S.Coups, Woozi, and Hoshi released their new song “Cheers” and during the same time, SEVENTEEN dropped their repackaged album SECTOR 17.

These 13 boys juggled all of this while they were going on their “Be The Sun” world tour. Last October, they stopped by the Philippines to perform live in front of their Filo Carats. And because they couldn't get enough of the fan base that was said to have the loudest cheers, they are coming back to serenade them again this December.

SEVENTEEN might indeed be booked and busy but they'll always make time to gift Carats with comforting songs that feel like a hug even if they're miles away.
