Ruru Madrid

Ruru Madrid found a new gym buddy in his dad Bong Madrid.

Primetime action hero Ruru Madrid got even more inspired to stay fit and strong.

The actor's commitment to his health and fitness has inspired his dad Bong Madrid to take better care of his own body.

Ruru and Bong recently hit the gym together for a workout session and some father and son bonding.

In a short video Ruru posted on his Instagram account, the duo is seen lifting some weights together.

"Gym time with Dada @bhongmadrid ," he wrote in the caption of his post.

This is not the first time that Ruru and Bong exercised together.

A few weeks ago, Ruru roped in his father, his mother, and his uncle to join him and his girlfriend Bianca Umali in the gym.

The family was guided by Ruru's longtime fitness coach Ghel Lerpido.

Ruru hopes to also be able to do a gym session with his sisters Rere and Rara.

Ruru has been busy attending training sessions for Filipino martial arts in preparation for a few of his upcoming projects.

While there has yet to be an official announcement, Ruru is poised to reprise his role in the second season of 2022's most-watched TV show Lolong where he played a young man who is able to communicate with a giant crocodile.

Aside from Lolong, Ruru is also busy with the movie Green Bones where he will star alongside Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo.

Green Bones is the entry of GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs for the 50th edition of Metro Manila Film Festival in December 2024.

The film will be under the helm of award-winning director Zig Dulay and is written by National Artist for Films and Broadcast Arts Ricky Lee, and 2023 MMFF Best Screenplay winner Anj Atienza.
