The first-ever Sparkle Run held on May 30, 2026 at the Quirino Grand Stand in Manila was a resounding success with a huge number of attendees.
From Sparkle stars to Kapuso fans, the venue was filled with runners, health enthusiasts, and people who just wanted to enjoy a good run.
Present was Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, who expressed her happiness and excitement about joining the fun run.
"Sobrang saya. Honestly, I really enjoyed this run because I missed running with my good friend Alden," Barbie said to GMANetwork.com when asked about her experience in the Sparkle Run.
The actress shared that she and Alden Richards enjoyed a "chill pace," chatting with each other while running.
In a separate interview, Alden expressed how happy and honored he is to be part of the first-ever Sparkle Run. The Asia's Multimedia Star even admitted that he was able to run 10km without training because of the well-thought-out route and organized event.
When asked how he felt after crossing the finish line, Alden shared, “Siyempre, very proud, same as my other races and other fun runs. At saka first time kong tumakbo nang walang training, so kaya naman pala with just pure will power. And I think that's the thing about endurance sports, it's really more mental, of course, kasama rin 'yung physical prep, but it's more of the mental capacity.”
