By Racquel Quieta

In a recent episode of Mars Pa More, Iya Villania revealed during the "Mars Sharing Group" segment that she cried when her husband Drew Arellano got a tattoo.

During the said "Mars Sharing Group" segment, hosts Iya and Camille Prats, along with their celebrity guests Voltes V: Legacy stars Epy Quizon and Martin del Rosario were asked to name instances when they were a “kontrabida” in real life.

Iya then shared that she was once a “kontrabida” in her husband Drew's life when she strongly opposed his decision to get a tattoo.

“Ako, mars, aminado ako na kontrabida ako minsan sa life ni Drew.

“At na-realize ko siya kasi kunwari there was a time noong mag-jowa pa lang kami, kontrabida ako sa pagkakaroon niya ng tattoo.

“Parang gusto niyang ayusin. I was like, 'No. Your body is a temple of God. You shouldn't do that to your body.' Achuchuchuchu…ang dami kong sinasabi.

“Nagpa-tattoo siya. Iyak ako. 'You don't love me. You don't care about, you know, what I have to say.'

“Only for me to realize na inggit lang pala ako. Gusto rin pala ng tattoo.”

The celebrity mom-of-three said she had realizations about why she felt and acted that way.

“Parang I think I wanted some sense of control over him, the same sense of control that my mom has and my parents have over me.

“So, parang I felt like I wanted that kind of control over him, kahit 'yung pagmo-motor.

“Kahit sa pagmo-motor. Parang 'No, don't ride a bike. Ganyan-ganyan. Aksidente.'

“Ang ending bibili lang din pala ako ng gear ko para makasakay [rin] ako sa kanya.”

She then gave some advice to other wives out there who are going through the same thing as she did.

“Sa mga mars, magpaka-totoo. Join them. (laughs)”
