Running Man Philippines didn't hold back and delivered an exciting season finale this Sunday night, September 8 with Kokoy De Santos claiming the title of Ultimate Runner for Season 2.

During the final match-up, Kokoy De Santos had to rip the nametag of Buboy Villar to claim the ultimate prize of that day.

When the dust had settled, the eight Pinoy Runners couldn't hold back their emotions and poured their heart out as they shared what it means to them to be part of season 2 of the phenomenal reality-game.

Kapuso Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid was visibly emotional as he admitted that he really missed being with his Running Man PH family.

Ruru shared, “Tina-try ko kasi pigilan 'yung pagkamiss ko sa inyo, so parang gusto ko kayo imessage lagi kung kumusta kayo. Pero pinipigilan ko 'yung sarili ko kasi ayoko mapa-feel sa inyo na nalulungkot ako, dahil gusto ko lang mag-enjoy lahat kayo dito.

“Kahit sa final race lang nakadaan ako dito para makasama kayong lahat. Sabi nga ni Buboy, once a Runner, always a Runner.”

Sparkle 10 member Lexi Gonzales also gave a big shout out to Buboy Villar for making sure that she's okay during their shoot in South Korea, since she got homesick a lot.

“Thank you din sa iyo rin Boy, kasi magti-thank you ako sa 'yo kasi para sa akin ang hirap kasi mag-isa. 'Tsaka parang napapansin ko, madalas sa atin, ako 'yung nauunang ma-home sick.” Lexi said to her fellow Runners.

“Pero tina-try n'yo pa rin mag-reach out sa akin.”

For her part, Glaiza De Castro a.k.a Boss G noted that a lot of them had really good character development in season 2.

She explained, “Ang surreal nito, sobrang surreal na ang bilis ng panahon. So, this season 'yung characters natin nagkaroon na tayo ng character development. Pero at the same time parang mas lumalim din 'yung ano natin.

“So, thank you talaga.”

Season 1 Ultimate Runner Angel Guardian also echoed what Boss G said, revealing that their bond as a group even grew stronger this time around.

“Yung relationship natin sa isa't isa mas lumalim alam mo 'yun. 'Tsaka 'yung ganitong experience. Hindi mo siya makukuha kung saan, dito lang talaga sa Running Man, makakapaglaro tayo. Nakilala ko kayo, grateful ako sa inyong lahat.” Angel noted.

Miguel Tanfelix on his first season

The newest member of the Running Man Philippines, Miguel Tanfelix also thanked his fellow Runners for making him comfortable right from the start.

He even declared that it is such a good feeling to say that he's a legit Runner: “Gusto ko lang magpasalamat kasi hindi kayo naging madamot sa akin. Bilang ako, hindi ako sanay pumasok sa grupo. Pero, buti na lang kayo 'yung grupo na 'yun dahil naging madali, ipinaramdam n'yo sa akin na welcome ako sa Running Man.

“Masasabi ko na ang sarap maging Runner.”

Meanwhile, Sparkle comedian Buboy Villar took the opportunity to thank the Philippine and Korean teams behind their show for their amazing work in season 2.

Buboy said, “At thank you sa mga to [pertaining to the production team]. Thank you sa mga VJs, thank you PD. Thank you sa lahat ng naniniwala, production staff. GMA, sobrang solid po kayo.”

Before the episode ended, Mikael Daez recalled what he said in the finale of season one that this show is a 'once in a lifetime opportunity' for all of them.

He added that he considers his fellow Runners not only as work colleagues, but they really matter in his life.

“Naalala ko lang dun sa finale ng season one natin sinabi ko sa inyo this is a once in a lifetime opportunity 'to. Sobrang saya natin, grabe 'yung roller coasters of emotions 'di ba na pinagdaanan natin.” Mikael stated.

“At hindi natin alam kung magkakaroon ng season two. Guys, andito na 'yung season two. Tapos na siya. And parang 'yung relationship na 'to.

“Sa totoo lang habang buhay, ganun ko kayo kamahal and you guys really matter in my life.”
