Sa isang exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com during the show's pictorial, inilarawan ng aktres ang kanyang panibagong hamon.

"It's a very, very strong role. I'd like to think that it speaks for a lot of women nowadays, and that it should be recognized. Women now have dreams, and they can reach their goals and dreams, and they can do very well at it," pagbabahagi niya.

Sumabak din sa ilang workshops si Mylene, kabilang ang dance workshops katuld ng kanyang co-stars.

"I attended a few dance workshops tungkol sa kanilang sayaw na hindi madali. It's a tradition that needs to be learned and passed on because it is dying, which is a sad thing. Culture should play a big part in the development of any nation. It represents who we are as a people and it will unify us if we only look into our culture and nurture our culture."

May mga bago ba siyang natutunan tungkol sa kulturang Badjaw?

Pag-amin niya, "I did not know that Badjaw spelled with an 'O' is considered derogatory. There are certain rules that we do not know because nandito tayo sa Maynila in the comfort of our concrete jungle. The culture that they have is very rich, and I would like to explore it further as I go along in taping this show."
