Spongecola vocalist Yael Yuzon imparted his musical expertise as he appeared as a guest judge for the third round of the GMA musical competition 'The Clash 2024' called "Three-On-Three Clash."
Spongecola lead vocalist Yael Yuzon graced The Clash 2024 as part of the panel in its Saturday's episode aired on November 2.
Yael served as a guest judge specifically for the GMA musical competition's third round, "Three-On-Three Clash", where teams of outstanding vocalists battled it out in an exciting three-way bout in the Clash Arena.
The award-winning singer-songwriter imparted his musical expertise as he shared a tip for a successful collaboration with the contestants.
"I think siguro malaking bagay ang teamwork, very basic. Pero also understanding the text so 'yung lyrics inintindi talaga kasi ang hirap kapag dinadaan mo sa technical singing ang isang bagay when, in truth, ang mas hinahanap sana ay mas damdamin."
The top nine Clashers themselves chose their teammates in the trio round: Naya Ambi, Vin Rimas, and Sean Karl ("Unang Birit"); Meleena Santos, Xandrex Arellano, and Zandra Pateres ("LuzViMin"); Angel D. Molly Langley, and Alfred Bogabil ("The Triad").
Only the top two groups advanced to the next round: "Unang Birit" and "The Triad."
The losing triad, "LuzViMin," was disbanded and its members Meleena, Xandrex, and Zandra competed against each other in an intense three-way 'Matira ang Matibay' where one of them was eliminated from the competition.
Meleena sat at the 'Top of the Clash,' while Xandrex and Zandra were placed at the bottom, with the panel choosing Xandrex over Zandra.
The remaining eight Clashers who will continue their The Clash journey are Naya Ambi, Vin Rimas, Sean Karl, Meleena Santos, Xandrex Arellano, Angel D., Molly Langley, and Alfred Bogabil.
The fourth round immediately begins next Saturday, November 9.
The Clash 2024 airs every Saturday, 7:15 p.m. on GMA and online via Kapuso Stream. It can be streamed on GMANetwork.com, YouTube channel and Facebook page of The Clash 2024, and Facebook page of GMA Network. It also has a late telecast on GTV at 9:45 p.m.
The Clash 2024 is directed by Louie Ignacio.
