Alex Eala, Venus Williams reunite for Washington DC Open doubles

Alexandra "Alex" Eala and Venus Williams are set to reunite in the doubles tournament of the Washington DC Open later this month.

The tournament announced their partnership on Friday.

Eala and Williams previously teamed up at the Bad Homburg Open, where they advanced to the quarterfinals.

In an interview with Vicky Morales on 24 Oras, Eala said she learned a great deal from playing alongside the seven-time Grand Slam singles champion.

"It was an incredible experience for me. Venus has such a special work ethic and such a special mindset, and for who she is, she is so down to earth. So I just took that week to absorb everything I could absorb and learn from her."

The Washington DC Open is scheduled to begin on July 27.
