Crystal Paras reveals what she thinks about making the first move
Would Crystal Paras be willing to make the first move on someone she likes?
Kapuso actress and singer Crystal Paras opened up about her new single under GMA Playlist, "Hintay" which will be released on January 21 and now available on iTunes for pre-order.
The song speaks about boldly asking someone you love to wait for you.
While on the subject of love and waiting, Crystal said she can relate to the song because she has also asked someone to wait for her now that she's busy pursuing her dreams.
She said during a Kapuso Zoomustahan, "I know a very certain special someone, ngayon, change positions naman kami."
Crystal continued, "Now that I'm pursuing my dreams, acting, music...sana siya naman makapaghintay. The feelings are there, I want to take it slowly or surely."
She also revealed how she feels about making the first move in dating or letting someone know you're interested in them.
"Now that I've matured more, I like being straightforward. If I like you, I'll tell you or I'll make you feel a bit of it at first. Lalo na kapag single naman tayo pareho, it might lead to something good.
"I would make the first move," she said with conviction.
She adds, "And sometimes gusto rin ng tao kapag straightforward 'yung tao na dini-date nila. It might be something na sobrang mahalin ng partner mo. I just choose to be real and be myself. Baka mag-work din for you guys, try n'yo. This is your sign."
Crystal said she takes relationships seriously, and doesn't mind making an effort and being patient with someone if she's in love.
"The standard of society is 'yung lalaki ang laging mag-effort. Pero ako, aside from marupok ako, grabe 'yung patience. I lean more toward the long-term relationship side."
However, Crystal doesn't just wait around for someone who isn't reciprocating her effort.
"When it's not good for you anymore and hindi na masusuklian 'yung pag ibig na binigay sa'yo, that's the time to let go pero tayong mga tao sometimes even when it hurts us, we don't let go. When you find your self-worth, that's the right time to let go. Sa pagkakakilala ko sa sarili ko, very strong and personality ko."
Crystal also picked one of her favorite lines from "Hintay."
"Dahil napakagaling po ni Ms. Rina Mercado, my favorite lines from "Hintay" would be, 'Dahil ayaw kong madaliin ang pag-ibig na maaaring maging huling pag-ibig ko.'"
She concluded, "Sure and steady. Puwedeng ikaw na 'yung last."
