Veteran singer-comedian Janno Gibbs is making his musical comeback with the release of his newest single, “Pinay Pa Rin,” under GMA Music on May 15.
In an interview with Kapuso Showbiz News, Janno shared that the track is his heartfelt tribute to Filipinas and their beauty, both inside and out.
“‘Pinay Pa Rin’ is my love letter to the beauty of Filipinas. Kasi ako, hindi naman ako magsusulat ng imbe-imbento lang,” he said.
“Ako, my personal preference. I think Pinays are the most beautiful sa lahat ng mga lahi. Ilalaban ko sila sa foreign beauties,” he added.
According to the singer-songwriter, the song goes beyond physical appearance and highlights the kindness and warmth that Filipinas are known for.
“In the song, of course, ipinagmamalaki ko ‘yung ganda ng Filipina. Pero ‘yung ganda kasi ng Pinay is not only panglabas, pati pangloob natin ng mga Pinay. Compared to other nationalities, mas mababait tayo,” Janno shared.
“Pinay Pa Rin” marks Janno’s latest collaboration with GMA Music and serves as a celebration of Filipina beauty, culture, and character through music.
