After losing the Speakership, Taguig Representative Alan Peter Cayetano has also been replaced as caretaker of first district of Camarines Sur.
This developed after the House of Representatives approved the motion seeking to replace Cayetano as Camarines Sur district legislative caretaker with Rizal Representative Michael "Jack" Duavit.
Duavit will be taking over the post left by the late Camarines Sur lawmaker Marissa Andaya who died of cancer last July.
Cayetano, being the Speaker of the House then, was initially named legislative caretaker of Andaya’s district.
Cayetano, however, was removed from the post last October 12 with 186 lawmakers voting to replace him with new Speaker Lord Allan Velasco.
GMA News Online has sought Cayetano's comment on the development.
The House plenary also elected Sorsogon First District Representative Evelina Escudero as the legislative caretaker of the second district of Sorsogon.
Escudero will be taking over the reins left by lawmaker Ditas Ramos who passed away in September after testing positive for COVID-19.—AOL, GMA News
