The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Blazers (1-1) and Arellano University Chiefs (1-1) will both be looking to move up the standings as they clash in the NCAA Season 97 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday at the La Salle Green Hills gym.

The two teams will battle in the 12:00 noon game before Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) and Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) tangle in the 3:00 pm contest.

CSB will looking to build some momentum after notching their first win of the season last Tuesday in a 79-68 victory over the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Pirates.

Robi Nayve led the Blazers with 17 points while Will Gozum posted 15 points and eight rebounds in the win, though Benilde coach Charles Tiu admitted the team still had plenty of things to work on.

"We have to outwork every team there and I thought today we did but I'm still not satisfied with the way we played. I'm actually not happy, there's still so many things that we have to clean up on," Tiu said.

Arellano, meanwhile, will look to bounce back from a tough 96-67 defeat to the defending champion Letran Knights. The Chiefs missed the services of star player Justin Arana, who was initially diagnosed with a partial ACL tear but has since been cleared of a major injury and is expected to return.

Arana posted 16 points and 15 rebounds in their opening weekend win over San Sebastian before missing their latest assignment.

LPU and EAC, both at 0-2 for the season, are seeking their first victories after dropping their opening games.

Lyceum lost to San Beda and CSB while EAC was defeated by Mapua and San Beda.
