Damie Cuntapay had a huge role in San Beda University's conquest of Jose Rizal University on Sunday as they cruised to their third consecutive win in the NCAA Season 97.
The senior bruiser finished with a total of eight points, all scored in the crucial fourth frame against the Heavy Bombers, to go along with six rebounds and an assist to steer the Red Lions to a 67-53 win.
Cuntapay said part of his steady outing was due to the consistent workouts he has been doing—before and after a match.
Cuntapay had a pretty solid season debut for San Beda, pouring in nine points and five rebounds against Lyceum but he had a cold night against EAC after he only finished with one marker.
He stressed these tough showings partly motivated him in today's game against the Heavy Bombers, where their clean slate was at stake.
