Coach Myk Saguiguit shares losing sleep over Perpetual's back-to-back losses

University of Perpetual Help System DALTA head coach Myk Saguiguit revealed he hadn't been getting enough sleep in the past few days after his wards fell to 1-2 behind a two-game losing skid.

The Altas started NCAA Season 97 on the right foot, dominating Jose Rizal University, 77-56, before falling to San Sebastian College-Recoletos and Colegio de San Juan de Letran to fall down the standings.

"Mamaya pag-uwi ko, makakatulog ako kasi nanalo ako. 'Yung last two games, puyat talaga ako, hindi ako makatulog," Saguiguit said on the heels of their 87-70 win over Arellano University that broke their dry spell.

"Lagi akong nagigising na binabangungot sa mga talo. Ngayon, kung ganito 'yung lalaruin nila, I think we're gonna be very competitive."

Those sleepless nights finally paid off for the Las Piñas-based school as they grabbed the win over the struggling Chiefs, who dropped to 1-3.

Saguiguit also shared that their fast-paced offense was all part of their game plan as they continue polishing their scoring.

"'Yun 'yung game plan talaga namin going to this game against Arellano. Sabi ko sa kanila, takbuhan natin sila nang takbuhan. Luckily, nagawa nila kanina," Saguiguit added.

"'Yung sa offense namin, I think matatagalan pa para makuha nila kung ano ba 'yung talagang gusto naming takbuhin. Sabi ko sa kanila, basta gawin natin 'yung depensa natin."

Their mettle will once again be tested as Altas face the CSB Blazers next on Saturday.
