12 noon – SSC-R vs EAC
3 p.m. – Mapua vs Perpetual
Four teams will look to boost their hopes of making it to the playoff round as the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 97 men's basketball tournament continues on Wednesday before going into the Holy Week break.
San Sebastian College-Recoletos and Emilio Aguinaldo College, both of whom are fresh from a win, will tangle in the opening salvo at 12 p.m. with two teams looking to make it back-to-back wins.
The Stags are coming off an 83-71 thrashing of Lyceum of the Philippines University last Sunday and the wards of head coach Egay Macaraya will bank on that momentum as they go up against the gutsy Generals.
EAC is also coming off a victory over erstwhile winless Jose Rizal University and they are targeting to book their third win of the season.
"Next game is EAC, 'yun pa 'yung isang problema dahil ang EAC magaling ang coach tapos magaling din 'yung mga players but still, tignan na lang namin," said Macaraya.
"Hopefully, we can make a game plan na medyo suitable for them and sana naman, mag-favor sa amin."
In the second game of the Wednesday double-header, two teams coming off a loss will look to bounce back at the expense of the other.
Mapua University, who started the season with three straight wins, lost its last two games against Arellano University and Colegio de San Juan de Letran and the Cardinals hope to peak at the right time against the Altas.
Perpetual, on the other hand, is also looking to recover from an 83-73 loss to De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde over the weekend.
