Boyet Fernandez' stint in San Beda University has come to an end.
This as the school's management has already informed him and his coaching staff that they are no longer part of the team as the Red Lions look to redeem themselves after a shocking Final Four exit in NCAA Season 97.
San Beda team manager Jude Roque confirmed the development to GMA News Online, adding that they will announce Fernandez' replacement in the coming days.
Fernandez first called the shots for San Beda in 2013 and 2014, where the Red Lions ruled the men's basketball tournament to complete a five-peat title run that started off in 2010.
He returned three years later to steer the Red Lions to back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018.
In 2019, though, archrival Colegio de San Juan de Letran pulled off an upset to take the title away from the Mendiola school. San Beda's woes piled up as they failed to regain the title in the recent Season 97, falling to Mapua University in their Final Four clash.
