Games today:
12 pm - Perpetual (1-1) vs CSB (2-0)
3 pm - Lyceum (2-1) vs EAC (0-3)

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and Lyceum of the Philippines University look to stretch their respective winning streaks when they tackle separate foes on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 98.

Benilde is currently the only team in the league with no losses on their record and the Blazers will like to keep it that way when they face University of Perpetual Help System DALTA at 12 p.m. at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Meanwhile, Lyceum, which is carrying a two-game winning streak, will try to protect its slate against a hungry Emilio Aguinaldo College in their 3 p.m. encounter.

Benilde assistant coach Paolo Layug, who took up the coaching mantle in their 100-94 win over San Sebastian College-Recoletos last Friday as head coach Charles Tiu was in sick bay, stressed they will be wary of the Perpetual side.

Layug said the Altas, who folded to Arellano University last Friday, have one of the deepest benches in the league with Kim Aurin, Rey Barcuma, Mark Omega, and Jielo Razon leading the way for the Las Piñas school.

But over at the Taft crew, tipped to continue leading the Blazers are rookie transferee Migs Oczon, Will Gozum, Miggy Corteza, Robi Nayve, and JC Cullar.

"I have a lot of respect for Perpetual, they're a tough team," said Layug.

"If we're talking about depth, they have one of the deepest teams in the NCAA. For me, I'm sure they're going to be more motivated after coming off a loss."

Like Benilde, Lyceum is also looking to grab a win, potentially its third in four games.

The Pirates, who pulled off epic wins over Season 97 Final Four teams Mapua University and San Beda University, will be squaring off with still winless EAC.

Lyceum head coach Gilbert Malabanan said they will continue leaning on their offense and balanced scoring, which he said steered them to wins over the Cardinals and the Red Lions.

"I'm so happy with the scoring of my team, karamihan nag-double digit scoring. That's the trust na sinasabi ko sa kanila, they have to trust each other and ayun, lumalabas 'yung trust sa amin," Malabanan said.

"Sabi ko naman sa kanila, gaya ng nakasulat doon sa board namin, nakalagay doon [ay] malaking 'trust'. 'Yun 'yung nangyayari sa amin these past two games."
