NCAA cancels Sunday’s double-header due to super typhoon Karding | NCAA Philippines

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) has canceled the games scheduled to be played on Sunday, September 25, due to the threat of super typhoon Karding.

"Please be informed that upon consultation with mancom members over Viber, and over phone calls, we can suspend the games today and reschedule to a later date based on our NCAA guidelines," said in an advisory signed by vice chairman Efren Jose Supan.

Jose Rizal University was supposed to face De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde at 12 p.m. before the clash between San Beda University and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA at 3 p.m. at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

San Juan, along with other cities in Metro Manila, is currently placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3.

This is the second time this season that the league has canceled games as it postponed two games featuring San Sebastian College-Recoletos due to healthy and safety protocols.
