Even while down by 19, Mclaude Guadaña knew Lyceum could upset Letran

Lyceum of the Philippines University found itself down by 19 points at one point in their game against Colegio de San Juan de Letran on Sunday in the NCAA Season 98.

But guard Mclaude Guadaña was confident they could overcome that huge deficit and eventually bag the win.

"Sobrang blessed kasi first half pa lang, first quarter pa lang, ramdam ko na merong magandang storya na mangyayari," Guadaña shared.

"Pinag-pray ko talaga 'to nung halftime then ito binigay naman sa amin."

And the Pirates proved the shooting guard right as Lyceum pulled off a 82-75 come-from-behind victory against the Knights to stretch their winning streak to five.

Guadaña was the catalyst of that escape as the sophomore cager finished with a team-high 20 points, including 15 in the second half, to go along with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

"Actually, sa isip ko talaga walang adjustment na dapat gawin eh kasi tira naman namin 'yung nabibitawan namin so hindi lang talaga siya napasok nung first and second quarter," he added.

"So siguro 'yung adjustment namin is mas naging aggressive kami sa defense and then ayun, more than that, sa tingin ko naman mas aggressive 'yung mga teammates ko."
