Emilio Aguinaldo College's Adam Doria had a breakout game on Wednesday, finishing with 16 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the arc to go along with three rebounds and one steal in just 17 minutes of action.
His numbers were not enough, though, as EAC fell to defending champion Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 72-68, to remain winless in the NCAA Season 98 with a 0-8 slate.
But Doria stressed their competitive contest against the Knights is something that they can use as motivation come their second round campaign.
"Sa amin naman, 'yung game namin ngayon isa 'to sa motivations namin kasi close game sa Letran," the 22-year-old Doria said.
Doria stepped up big time for the Generals, who were missing the services of usual gunners in Ralph Robin, King Gurtiza, Joshua Tolentino, and Art Cosa. But although his effort was not enough in this one, Doria said he's glad to earn the trust of the coaching staff.
