Colegio de San Juan de Letran wants nothing but payback when it tangles with Arellano University on Friday in the NCAA Season 98.

Game time is at 3 p.m. with the Knights eyeing to avenge its first round loss to the Chiefs which ended the Intramuros squad's 14-game winning streak that dated back to Game 3 of the Season 95 Finals round in 2019.

Letran head coach Bonnie Tan admitted they had a tough game when they last saw Arellano in the hardcourt, but they will use that defeat as a challenge when they face off anew in the second round.

"Babawi kami. Babawi kami sa Arellano," Tan said.

"We played bad in that game and again, ayun na lang siguro 'yung pwede naming maging challenge sa mga players ay 'yung last game namin against them."

Letran is also eyeing to extend its winning streak to five with veterans Fran Yu, Brent Paraiso, Louie Sangalang, and King Caralipio leading the charge for the Knights, who are looking to bag a rare three-peat.

Tan, though, warned his boys to remain wary of their opponents as all teams are hungry to get wins, especially in the crucial second round.

"Pukpukan na sa second round eh. Ito na 'yung positioning sa standings."

Arellano, meanwhile, is coming off two consecutive losses and a long break.

The Chiefs last played on October 11 against Lyceum of the Philippines University, where they lost by just two points, 82-80. Before that, the Cholo Martin-mentored team fell to San Beda University with a 96-61 beating.

Arellano was supposed to play early this week but health and safety protocols forced the Chiefs to undergo isolation.
