De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde head coach Charles Tiu shared that two of his players who got hurt during the incident with Jose Rizal University's John Amores on Tuesday will undergo checkups for further assessment.
According to Tiu, Taine Davis was dizzy for a while and guard Jimboy Pasturan suffered a black eye after both players were on the receiving end of punches from Amores in the 3:22 mark of the fourth quarter.
"Jimboy got a big black eye. Taine Davis got sucker punched, he didn't do anything. He was dizzy for a while. Those are the two guys who got hurt," the coach shared.
"(Migs) Oczon, who wasn't doing anything, got punched. Thankfully, they're okay but we'll take them to the hospital to see if they sustained anything worse."
As of now, Tiu said the team has yet to discuss what action to take next as he has yet to speak to management.
"To be honest, I haven't spoken to the management about it or to the school. These situations don't happen too often. So maybe we'll seek guidance from our school officials on what to do," the mentor said.
"I can't speak for that stuff. I don't want to assume anything. Because I am sorry, I don't know to be honest."
