Matthew Rubico picked up where he left off from that last game, flirting with a triple-double of 25 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds as the Junior Pirates improved their record at an even 1-1 while sending EAC to a winless 0-2 card.

In the second game, University of Perpetual Help System DALTA came back from 23 points down to deny Benilde-La Salle Green Hills in an 82-77 comeback victory. The Junior Altas, who won in their previous outing against Arellano University, improved to 2-0 while LSGH sank to 0-2.
Amiel Acido led Perpetual's rally with a double-double effort of 19 points and 18 rebounds while Jericho Montero and Lebron Daep both had similar 11-point and 11-rebound performances to steer Perpetual to the win.
Manuel Pablo's 20 points, 17 rebounds, and three steals went for naught as LSGH lost for a second time in a row.
