College of Saint Benilde-La Salle Green Hills head coach Renren Ritualo admitted that the Greenies lost focus in their second half collapse that led to an 85-81 loss to Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Game 1 of the NCAA Season 98 juniors basketball finals on Monday.
LSGH was unstoppable in the early goings of the first half, leading by as much as 12 points with Ethan Alian and Luis Pablo powering their offense before Letran caught up with them, ending the half with a 44-41 deficit.
The struggles continued for the LSGH with Letran taking over the lead for good late in the fourth.
"Sabi ko nga, maganda nung first half pero nung second half, they ran away from the game plan. So that's what happened," said Ritualo.
("LIke I said, it went well in the first half but in the second half, they ran away from the game plan. So that's what happened.")
The rookie coach also shared that the lack of patience hurt them.
"Well, patience because medyo nainip kami e. We want the home run right away so in any game, that can't happen," he added.
("Well, patience because we became impatient. We want the home run right away, so in any game, that can't happen.")
"We have to be patient because every time you turn the ball over, we have to pay for that. Kailangan talagang aalagaan namin 'yung bola kasi we turned the ball over 24 times."

"So that's the ballgame right there."
