Letran Knights secure commitment of NAASCU star Jimboy Estrada | NCAA Philippines

Three-time defending champion Colegio de San Juan Letran loaded its roster as the Knights secured the services of rising basketball star John Sherick "Jimboy" Estrada in the NCAA.

Estrada was a key cog in St. Clare College-Caloocan's five-peat title run National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (NAASCU) last June 2022.

During that stint, Estrada claimed both the MVP and Rookie of the Year honors as they delivered the school's sixth overall championship.

According to Letran athletic director Fr. Vic Calvo, Estrada will first serve his residency and can join the Knights come Season 100. He will have at least three years to play in the NCAA.

Estrada's entry will keep Letran's program alive even after Season 99, which will see its core led by spitfire guard Kurt Reyson and big man Pao Javillonar graduate.

He will join the likes of Kobe Monje, Kevin Santos, Rafael Go, and Kyle Tolentino as they look to continue Letran's dynasty.
