Letran's Kurt Reyson bids farewell to tough NCAA Season 99 | NCAA Philippines

Colegio de San Juan de Letran senior Kurt Reyson remained grateful despite going through a difficult stretch to end to his collegiate career in NCAA Season 99.

Reyson looked back on a season of contrasts in a social media post on Friday after his Letran Knights ended their season with a dismal 2-16 record.

"'Di man naging madali ang last collegiate season ko sa NCAA, alam kong marami pa din akong dapat ipagpasalamat," Reyson wrote in his post.

("My last collegiate season in the NCAA may not have been easy, but I know I have a lot to be thankful for.... I heard a lot of word that lowered my morale but there was a lot of support shown. I know I have my shortcomings, but the people who continued to support me really made a mark on me... I can't help but be said about what happened this season, it was so had to get wins and this season I had a lot of injuries. Though I don't understand everything, I know Lord has a plan for me and my team.")

Still, the Letran captain thanked all those who were part of his journey since starting his career with the Squires in the juniors' division.

"Sa 7 years ko sa Letran, from juniors to seniors, ang daming ko pong natutunan at habang buhay ko yang pasasalamatan."

("In my 7 years in Letran, from the juniors to seniors, I've learned so much and I will be thankful for my the rest of my life.")

Reyson had wanted to suit up for the Knights' in their last game, but he was unable to get clearance from his doctors.

A day after, Reyson played for the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the MPBL where he logged 22 points.

Letran head coach Rensy Bajar said injuries and chemistry were some of the factors that led to the downfall of the rebuilding Knights in Season 99.
