Carlo Ferreras leaves Perpetual, joins teammate Mark Omega at Letran | NCAA Philippines

Carlo Ferreras joined the influx of players who left University of Perpetual Help System DALTA as the veteran guard bid goodbye to the Las Piñas crew.

With this move, the stage is set for Ferreras’ homecoming at Colegio de San Juan de Letran as he is set to join the Knights, he confirmed to GMA Integrated News.

Ferreras suited up for Letran in the NCAA juniors ranks before transferring to Perpetual for college.

The 5-foot-10 guard was among the steady and reliable wards for Perpetual in the past three seasons, flourishing under the guidance of former head coach Myk Saguiguit.

In Season 99, Ferreras averaged 3.44 points, 2.19 rebounds, and 1.0 assists to help bolster the backcourt that included veteran Jielo Razon, Jun Roque, and Joey Barcuma as they fell just short of reaching the Final Four with a 10-8 card.

But Ferreras said he had opted to continue his career at his high school alma mater despite it being a tough decision to make.

“Decided na po ako and family ko to move to Letran. Ang tagal talaga namin pinag-isipan and ‘yun na final answer last week,” he said in a message.

[My family and I have already decided to move to Letran. We thought about this for a long time and that was the final answer we came to last week.]

Ferreras became the fourth player to leave Perpetual this offseason after Roque, Cyrus Nitura, and Mark Denver Omega. In Letran, he will reunite with Omega, who also decided to jump ship to the Muralla squad.

Ferreras will serve a one-year residency before being eligible for Season 101.
