Benilde's Tony Ynot hopes to bounce back in Game 2 as Mapua nears title

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde's Tony Ynot is hoping to bounce back on Saturday as they hope to equalize their best-of-three finals series against Mapua University in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament.

Ynot, who averaged 10.14 points per game in the elimination round, was limited to just seven points in Game 1 of the finals as the Cardinals drew first blood, 84-73.

"'Yung defense namin. Tapos 'yung mga turnover namin. Marami kaming turnover. Balik kami sa training. Paghandaan namin, kung anong mali namin, ayusin namin. Tapos babawi sa Game 2," Ynot said.

In the finals opener, Benilde also had another problem in Clint Escamis who erupted for 30 points.

"Siguro sa training, pa- isipan namin paano siya depensahan, paano siya i-stop kasi kahit may double na siya, magaling pa rin siyang makabutas. Babawi kami. Sana pagdating sa Game 2, ma-stop namin siya," Ynot added.

Ynot and the rest of the Blazers will try to equalize the series in Game 2 of the NCAA men's basketball finals on Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
