Former University of the Philippines player Aldous Torculas is bringing his talents to Mendiola.
A month after it was revealed that Torculas will be heading to the NCAA, a decision has been made and the one-time UAAP champion chose San Beda University as his next team.
Red Lions head coach Yuri Escueta confirmed the development to GMA News Online on Friday.
"Very excited that Aldous decided to join the San Beda Red Lions. Looking forward to working with him," Escueta said in a message.
The development also came a day after it was confirmed that former NCAA Finals MVP James Payosing will move to UP.
A part of the UAAP Season 87 championship team of the Fighting Maroons, Torculas posted averages of 4.08 points and 2.58 rebounds per game at the end of the elimination round.
Prior to his move with the seniors team, Torculas was also part of the UP Integrated School team where he eventually landed in the Mythical Team of UAAP Season 82.
Torculas said he chose San Beda as well because of its winning culture.
"Gusto ko talaga ma-develop yung game ko at gusto ko rin ma-explore kung ano pa 'yung mga kaya ko gawin sa court," Torculas said. "Isa rin sa mga goal ko is matulungan 'yung team and makuha 'yung trust nila."
Torculas will undergo residency and is expected to suit up for NCAA Season 102.
