Suspensions stay for Benilde-LSGH's Ritualo, Quines in NCAA Juniors Final Four

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde - La Salle Green Hills will have to play without head coach Renren Ritualo and main man Guillian Quines when the Greenies take on Colegio de San Juan de Letran in the NCAA Juniors Basketball Final Four on Monday.

NCAA Management Committee chair Hercules Callanta confirmed the development to GMA News Online on Friday.

"Yes, as per ManCom meeting yesterday, suspensions stay," Callanta said in a message when asked about LSGH's appeal.

The Greenies lost both Ritualo and Quines to ejections in the final 1:14 of the fourth quarter of their game against Emilio Aguinaldo College due to second infractions of a technical foul. The Greenies won the game, 81-70.

According to league rules, players and coaches ejected from the game will also serve a one-game suspension afterwards.

LSGH, however, can still appeal to the NCAA Policy Board, according to Callanta.

The Greenies will face the twice-to-beat Squires on Monday, 2:30 p.m. at the Filoil-EcoOil Centre in San Juan. Prior to this, top-seeded University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and San Beda University will face off at 12:00 p.m.
