John Abis played like the veteran leader he is, steering the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA to a gritty 71-65 escape over Jose Rizal University in the NCAA Season 101 on Saturday at the Filoil Centre.
The graduating forward rose to the occasion with a season-high 17 points on top of seven rebounds, an assist, and a steal, all without committing a single turnover, to help the Altas rebound from their previous loss to Letran and improve to 5-1 in Group A.
