Red-hot Colegio de San Juan de Letran needed extra period to fend off Lyceum of the Philippines University in overtime, 95-93, in the NCAA Season 101 on Saturday.
The Knights squandered a 10-point lead in the fourth period, but held off the Pirates in OT behind big man Aaron Buensalida to net their third straight win after a 0-3 start while LPU succumbed in their third overtime game—including double overtimes against Mapua and San Sebastian—to go 0-5 in Group A.
The win also saw Titing Manalili’s triple-double not go down the drain as the rookie sensation erupted for 13 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds to complete the rare feat in just his sixth collegiate game.
