
San Beda University dominated Arellano University, 76-53, to extend its winning streak to three in the NCAA Season 101 men’s basketball tournament on Friday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.
After taking a 37-31 lead at halftime, the Red Lions pulled away in the second half, holding Arellano to just 22 points combined in the third and fourth quarters.
While Janti Miller led San Beda with 20 points and Jomel Puno added 10, it was the Red Lions’ bench that provided the spark, contributing 40 of the team’s total points.
Miles Culdora chipped in nine points, while Zedjay Etulle hauled down 12 rebounds on top of his eight-point outing.
T-Mc Ongotan paced the Chiefs with 14 points, while Anjord Cabotaje finished with 10.
With the victory, San Beda improved to 5-1 in Group B, while Arellano dropped to 3-4.
