Justin Lozano of Jose Rizal University regained unconsciousness after a bad fall in the match against Mapua University on Friday in the NCAA Season 101 men's basketball tournament.
With less than two minutes remaining in the game, Lozano had a bad fall while defending against Cyrus Nitura.
Lozano was eventually stretchered off the court and brought to the hospital.
"Parang aksidente naman talaga, hindi naman talaga sinasadya," JRU head coach Nani Epondulan in a post-game interview.
Epondulan, shortly afterwards, said Lozano has regained consciousness.
"Kanina po nung nag-hymn kami, gising na raw po si Justin nung papasok sa ambulansiya," Epondulan said in the post-game conference.
JRU eventually won the match, 66-63.
