San Beda University defeated San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 75-66, on Sunday in the NCAA Season 101 juniors basketball tournament at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.
The win ended the Red Cubs' three-game losing skid, and also dealt the Staglets' fourth straight loss.
Dwayne Nonato and Bill Gravador led San Beda with 15 and 14 points, respectively, as they improved to 2-5.
The victory spoiled Mark Esperanza's 23-point explosion and Joshua Scott's 16-point and nine-rebound performance as the Staglets slipped to 1-7.
