Jose Rizal University’s Justin Lozano has been discharged from the hospital after falling unconscious last Friday during their match against Mapua University.
Lozano suffered a bad fall while defending, which left him unconscious on the floor. He was brought to the hospital, and according to head coach Nani Epondulan, Lozano regained consciousness on the way there.
“Justin was discharged today. He went home with his parents so he can rest further. He’s due for follow-up at Lourdes Hospital after two weeks for clearance on whether he can play again,” JRU team doctor Shar Partigas told GMA Synergy.
Last Friday, Lozano also underwent a cranial CT scan, which showed no evidence of bleeding, fracture, or contusion, according to Patigas.

Lozano is expected to take some time off, with JRU’s next game scheduled nearly two weeks from now, on November 5.
