Lyceum of the Philippines University senior guard Joshua Moralejo erupted for a monster performance that even San Beda University veteran Yuki Andrada admitted caught them off guard.

Moralejo torched the Red Lions with 24 points, taking over in the clutch as he drilled three straight triples and a tough layup to finish off the heavy favorites and send them to second loss in a row.

Andrada said they always knew Moralejo had the shooting touch but didn’t expect him to unleash it against them.

"We were kinda caught off guard. Hindi namin in-expect. We know na he’s a shooter but we didn’t know that he’s gonna explode in the fourth quarter," Andrada said following LPU's 78-66 win over his San Beda on Tuesday.

"He was just making shots from everywhere. But you know, wala talaga kaming magagwa, he was just making his shots."

But Andrada stressed they have to lick their wounds quickly, especially with their busy schedule ahead, taking on De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde on Friday then Colegio de San Juan de Letran next Tuesday.

"Syempre masakit. We expected to win this game but we didn’t make our shots and we played really bad defense but you know, we can’t be too hurt on this game. We gotta move forward," the graduating forward added.

"We have bigger games coming up, Benilde and Letran, we gotta put our heads up high, move forward, and prepare for the next games."
