The NCAA Season 101 men’s basketball tournament is heading into its homestretch, with all teams returning to their respective groups for the third phase of the elimination round.
Here’s a recap of the standings in the seniors division after the first group cycle and the crossover phase, as of November 5:
Group A:
- Perpetual Altas - 8-1
- Mapua Cardinals - 4-5
- Arellano Chiefs - 3-6
- San Sebastian Golden Stags - 2-7
- LPU Pirates - 2-7
Group B:
- San Beda Red Lions: 6-3
- Benilde Blazers: 6-3
- JRU Heavy Bombers: 5-4
- Letran Knights: 5-4
- EAC Generals: 4-5
Only four games remain for each team before the play-in between the No. 4 and No. 5 teams of each group begins later this month.
With the current standings, only the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA is assured of a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals, having already secured one of the top two spots in Group A.
While there is also a clear leader in Group A, all teams in Group B remain in close competition.

Junior games are generally held at 8:30 a.m., except on Fridays and Sundays when they start at 9:30 a.m. Afternoon games in the juniors division begin at 5:00 p.m.
