Angelo Aninipot drained the game-winning putback to lift San Sebastian College-Recoletos past Arellano University, 83-81, in the NCAA Season 101 juniors basketball on Wednesday at the Filoil Centre.

Aninipot cleaned up a missed three-pointer from Mark Esperanza right at the buzzer, making up for his own missed free throws in the previous sequence as the Staglets cruised to their back-to-back wins.

He finished with 13 points while JC Ynot and Mark Esperanza churned out 19 and 15 markers each as they improved to 3-8 in Group A while league-leading Braves fell to 6-4.

With the game tied at 81-all in the final minute, Aninipot had the chance to win it at the line but missed both of his freebies as Arellano had another opportunity to break the deadlock.

Chris Dy, though, misfired on his triple attempt that led to a defensive rebound from Ynot. Esperanza then took it upon himself with a long bomb, but Aninipot converted the putback to win it for the embattled San Sebastian.

Axel Mendoza led Arellano with 21 points while Aaron Manasala and Ray Ladica chipped in 14 markers each in the loss that snapped their three-game winning streak.
