NCAA: Arellano Braves send Perpetual Junior Altas to third straight loss

Arellano University sent University of Perpetual Help System DALTA to its third straight loss with an 85-75 win in the NCAA Season 101 juniors basketball on Sunday at the Filoil Centre. 

The Braves relied on the quartet of Sean Franco, Ray Ladica, Axel Mendoza, and Chris Dy to thump the defending champions Junior ALTAs, tying Mapua University at the top of Group A with a 7-4 card. 

Franco led the way with 20 points together with eight rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and one assist while Ladica churned out 17 markers, seven boards, two steals, two dimes, and one block. 

Mendoza flirted with a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds as Dy chipped in four rebounds, and three assists as they added to the woes of the Junior ALTAs, who had absorbed their straight loss to go 6-6. 

Jim Corpuz paced Perpetual with 20 points, two rebounds, two blocks, and two assists while team captain Lance Nitura posted a double-double of 11 markers and 11 boards.
