Nico Mulingtapang set for NCAA homecoming after joining Benilde

Nico Mulingtapang is making an NCAA comeback after deciding to suit up for powerhouse De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde starting in Season 103.

Blazers head coach Charles Tiu confirmed Mulingtapang's move on Monday, boosting the Taft crew's backcourt arsenal following the departure of some key players like Tony Ynot and Gab Cometa.

Mulingtapang spent two seasons with the University of the East in the UAAP. His final year in Season 88 was marked by a struggle for the Red Warriors as they went winless through 14 games.

He will now return home to the NCAA, a familiar ground for Mulingtapang after he once emerged as one of the stars for Mapua University in the junior ranks back in Season 99.

Mulingtapang will bolster a Benilde team that was coming off a Final Four exit in Season 101, losing to San Beda University in the semifinals to bow out of contention.
