San Beda University once again flexed its might in the beautiful game as the Red Booters won the NCAA Season 100 football title last Saturday at the University of Makati.
San Beda defeated De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, 1-0, in the finals, with Amir Aningalan making the lone goal at the 46th minute.
This is San Beda's 26th overall men's football title.
Aningalan was also named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, while Nhiboy Pedimonte once again was the Coach of the Year.
His teammate Pedro Tagara, Jr. was named Best Goalkeeper, while Sam Salingay was Rookie of the Year. Eldwin Escosora was named Best Defender.
Josh Rupert Asignar of Benilde was Best Striker, while Frank Davis Semilla bagged the Freshman of the Year award. Louise John Bronda of Emilio Aguinaldo College was Best Midfielder.
Mapua University, meanwhile, finished third in the tournament.
